Roar

If this blog in the crawl spaces of interwebs was a room in real life, it could have been reclaimed by nature, an overgrowth of vegetation with damp and heavy poorly ventilated air. A room where no one ever really came. No one ever left.

Much like the first Jurassic Park. Minus the all the dinosaurs with acute deafness (why else would they freaking roar in every single scene), Jeff Goldbloom, and everything that could have been real.

I walk in to take a seat on an imaginary seat in the said room, dabbing the non existent ink with the invisible pen, with a brief pause and stroke of the beard, a sense of old yet familiar self floats to the fore.

It has been a while.

moozik (100 % alcohol v/v)

one thing ,ive always liked since ive been a wee little kid hitting buttons of my dads cassette player, pushing the equalizer buttons up and down(only to get a tight slap on my hand from pa) and loading my favorite cassette (some hindi rip off of final countdown by europe) has been music.it has been a constant in my life.it is inseparable.the root.

i really cant describe my taste, after thinking over wat genre i really dislike.i have a bad habit of finding goodness in very kind of music.be it in tune, melody, rhythm, song structure or chord progression.though im most drawn to metal mostly death metal!.gives moi the real rush.

these is wat ive been listenin to this week!

some nice pink pop, some old skool death metal and some prog rock. :D

and i like it! together.
......someone tell me its natural.!?

postcards from Kachchh/Kutch

Its really not spelt as Kutch.once under the rule of the king of kachchh, is among the biggest districts in Asia.the distinctive marking of this place on the Indian political map always amused me.luckly had the chance of visiting the place first hand.

the land is dry and wind dusty.theres patches of dry flat lands stretching till the horizon.ppl here are very well adapted and their costumes are really cool!.one thing i noticed is that there are more parrots than 'common' crows !.

the ladies are dressed very fancy whereas men in sober white cloths with distinct turbans.the older men have thick well shaped moustache.too bad could not grab any pics of them.

camels are abundant here.when i saw the first ones i was clicking away.but then later realized that they too as common as the 'common' crow here.

tasted the signature snack (read junk) food of kachchh called 'dhabela'. it tastes funny if u havent had tried gujrati food before.it has both sweet and sour taste (like most of gujarati cuisine) with crunchy masala peanuts within a bun of bread.its more like a desi version of a fancy burger with rose petals and coconut pieces.i liked it.(removing the petals that is)

made some new friends on the way.quite friendly folks.

the city of bhuj, district HQ,was once almost leveled by the earthquake which hit gujarat on 26 Jan of 2001.where ever i go with pa and ma,we get to hear stories of places of how many died, building detroyed and how the landscape has changed.the lake surrounding deskmukh baug is destination of many migratory birds.

overall a amazing place.quite different from the usual.sometimes i felt lost with at times no sight of civilization for miles except for a faint hope from the electric lines running parallel to the roads.

First time lapse photography!

i've always wanted to do this technique of time lapse photography which is a series of photographs of a subject over a period of time taken at regular interviews.i shoot these pictures of the the pooja at home called ashlesha bali.no there is no real sacrifice but a simple pooja around a beautifully laid out rangoli of serpent god.its a pooja which has great importance in the dakshin karnataka district and some of kerala.

used my family camera nikon N50 with set interval as 30 secs.used MS movie maker to motion the pictures.click on the link to view the video on U-Tube!.

Quaked !

Quake 4 starts very well in the same old, cliched story plot.you play the character of (name here ??) , plane crash, realise u are the one, war junky with big repute, get to save the planet from alien anti human race.(wow!).definately not a game to be played for story but also not for guns either, for this game really has disappointing array of weapons.other than the guns from quake 3 viz rocket laucher, rail gun etc there are some new guns, (wat looks a like mini nuclear field gun !).but wats first person sci-fi shooter game with bad guns!

some screenshots from my game.

milliseconds before he striked!

thats moi! after few alien fashion enchancements

big guy

yea!...only the chosen one can procede

Pure Reason For Good Music

Recently found this album called The Dark Third (2006) by the brit band 'Pure Reason Revolution' and must say its a real treat for anyone who likes indie or rock music with progressive elements.the vocals are very well done with lots of harmonies.people who like music from bands like porcupine tree, blackfield, the beach boys so on will definitely love this stuff and like most prog music this album is best heard when played in the original track order.quite a lot of synth too but isnt nauseous.
been digging to brit music scene and somehow i feel they are quite gifted.!?.so far so good.
